A few reminders

We urgently need some plastic bottles to make rain gauges.  Straight-sided bottles would be best...

Please return the Cole Museum permission slips as soon as possible.

We would be grateful for any silver-coloured items for the Year 3 Christmas Fair hamper. Thanks !

Homework and spelling for Week Ending 23th November is below.  Due next Wednesday, but best to look at over the weekend so I give any needed help on Monday. Please try to ensure the children try all the homework, there has been a growing tendency to just do some of it.....

Diwali Dancing

The children very much enjoyed their Diwali dancing and mine session Friday morning....

Year Three is taught by Mr Handy.

Throughout the week, our learning is supported by Ms. Chisholm.

This page contains regular updates of our learning both in and out of the classroom, photos of activities and useful links. You can also find important information here such as timetables, class newsletters, educational visit details and spelling lists.

The school year has started and the children have had lots of opportunities to show their amazing abilities. We have started out class book, Stig of the Dump, and the children have had a go at improving the opening of this classic story. In Maths we have looked at place value, and in Science we hive discovered that rocks are more interesting than you might think.

Important Points in our Timetable:

  • PE Kits for Monday and Tuesday (PE kits should be in school at all times)
  • Library book for Wednesday
  • Art Shirt for Friday
  • Spelling tests on Mondays

 Don't forget!

Our timetable is always subject to change.

What You Can Do To Help At Home!

Please help your child by supporting them with their homework, spellings and times tables. Times times is central to the Year Three maths curriculum, therefore you should encourage your child to practice and learn times tables on a daily basis. By the end of Year Four, it is essential that all children know their timestables up to 12x12 so they are prepared for upper KS2 maths.

Please click on the below links for example times table grids to practise with:
