Inspiring and nurturing young hearts and minds

Saint Sebastian's Junior Choir

Our school choir is a central part of school life. The children enjoy singing and participting in different choral events. They have represented the school for years at various choral concerts including, The Young Voices Concert in the O2, Loddon Valley Christmas Carols, WASMA in the Hexagon Theatre and Crowthorne Carnival. and other school and local events. The Junior Choir have been excellent representatives for our school and make us very proud.

Well done to our Junior Choir. They have had a busy season singing carols and preparing for the Young voices concert.

In December, they went carol singing, with KS1 children to Tesco in Wokingham. They also went carol singing in Johnson and Johnson. They raised £260 for to buy new musical instruments to use in lessons. Well done!

A group of 15 children took part in the Loddon Valley Carol Concert. It was a beautiful concert in which the children performed with a full orchestra in a combined choir of 400 children.

Spring Term:

Children from KS1 will join our choir and the older children will help the younger children to experience choir.

A note will go home after half term for any KS1 child who is interested in attending this club

St. Patrick's Day Party 2017 - London Irish Rugby at Madjesky Stadium, Reading

On Saturday 18th March 2017, the Junior choir had the opportunity to sing on the pitch before the game. They sang 'The Fields of Athenry,' which is the anthem of the London Irish Rugby Club and also an old Irish ballad. The children sang their hearts out and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Young Voices 2017

Our Junior Choir, with children form Years 3 to 6 represented out school in a combined choir of 8,000 children on Friday 20th January in the O2 Arena in London. The children were a credit and made us very proud. They learned all their lyrics, sang and danced all day long. It was a special experience. The children were joined on stage by World beat boxer champions and world renowned street dance artists, along with other well known performers. They were amazing superstars!
