On behalf of the children, staff and governors I would like to welcome you to Saint Sebastian's Church of England Primary School. We are a happy school with excellent relationships between pupils, staff, parents and governors. Our aim is to provide the best possible education for our children within the context of a caring Christian ethos.

Choosing the right school for your child is a very important decision, and I am confident that our School offers an enriching, high-quality education in a caring, welcoming Christian environment, where your child will be nurtured and encouraged to achieve high standards in all aspects of their development.

We believe that it is important that children experience the joy of learning, and the enthusiastic, dedicated team of staff are always working hard to provide a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum that is enriched with exciting learning opportunities, meeting the personal needs of all learners.

Our links with Saint Sebastian's Church is very strong, and we visit the church each term for worship and celebrations. This partnership is very special to us and parents and carers are encouraged to join us whenever we go to church.

We believe that the partnership between school and home is an important part of a child’s development and we have an open door policy where parents are encouraged to come into school to talk about their child’s progress and development whenever they feel it is necessary. We know that children are happiest when home and school work together for their benefit and many opportunities will arise for you to be involved during your child’s time with us.

You are very welcome to visit our school – the children and I are always pleased and proud to show visitors around. I look forward to welcoming you to Saint Sebastian's Primary School and working with you and your child in the future.

Yours sincerely

Mr Martin Gater
