Our Pupil Parliament
Our Pupil Parliament
We believe that every child’s voice can make a difference. Our Pupil Parliament gives pupils the opportunity to serve others, share ideas, and help shape our school community.
Guided by our school values of Love, Respect, Aspiration and Courage, and our motto — “Love for Others, Learning in Every Step” — our Pupil Parliament members show what it means to live out these values in action every day.
Our Pupil Parliament is currently made up of three key teams: Playground Buddies, Librarians, and Worship Leaders.
Playground Buddies
Our Playground Buddies help to make playtimes happy, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
Responsibilities include:
- Encouraging positive play and helping everyone to join in.
- Showing love and respect by including others and offering friendship.
- Using courage to help solve small disagreements in a kind and fair way.
- Setting a good example through thoughtful, caring behaviour.
- Supporting staff on duty by helping to keep playtimes safe and enjoyable.
By showing love and respect for others, our Playground Buddies help make sure everyone feels valued and included.
Librarians
Our Librarians help to keep our library a calm, inspiring place where everyone can discover the joy of reading.
Responsibilities include:
- Organising and caring for our library books.
- Helping others to find stories that spark their imagination.
- Promoting reading through book recommendations, displays and events.
- Encouraging aspiration by helping children see that reading opens doors to learning and adventure.
- Showing respect for books, resources and the shared library space.
Our Librarians help everyone to take “learning in every step” as they grow in confidence and curiosity through reading.
Worship Leaders
Our Worship Leaders have a special role in supporting the Christian life of our school.
Responsibilities include:
- Helping to plan, prepare and lead Collective Worship.
- Choosing readings, prayers and songs that reflect our Christian values and seasons.
- Welcoming others into worship and helping everyone to reflect and pray.
- Showing love through service, respect through reverence, and courage when speaking or leading in front of others.
- Supporting reflection areas and helping link worship to daily life and learning.
Our Worship Leaders help everyone to grow in faith, love and understanding — showing that we can all live with “love for others, learning in every step.”
Together, our Pupil Parliament members demonstrate what it means to live our school values every day — leading with kindness, serving with courage, and learning together with aspiration and respect.
